Potholder looms are weaving in its most basic form: a simple frame holds the warp in place while you manually weave the weft over and under. To warp the loom, stretch a looper vertically from the bottom to the top of the loom, catching it around the opposing pegs on either end of the loom. Continue until all of the vertical pegs are filled.

20 bags = around 115 m (380′) of loopy yarn. This results in a rug approximately 56 cm x 71 cm (22″ x 28″). Add more bags if you're craving something larger. Size 19 mm (US 35) needles. Gauge: Whatever you get is the right gauge! You can't lose! Directions: Get a small fry.

Start with Color One (Red) on both ends and add the loops as every other until they meet in the middle, where there should be two Reds. Lay out your potholders the way you want them seamed. Make sure that the they are all facing the same way and the "V" shaped edge stitches are all facing up along the sides. You should be able to line up the 18 "V" stitches evenly on both potholders. Start with a piece of yarn 3x the length of your seam.

Pin around the edges of the heart. The more pins the better! Repeat to make fabric, batting, and interfacing 'stacks' with the half-heart pieces for the front of the potholder. Use lots of pins to hold the layers together. 3. Baste around the edges of all three 'stacks' 1/4" from the edge.
