Best Potholder Looms for Learning the Basics of Weaving
Finished size is approx. 7 ¼" x 7 ½". Materials: Knitting Loom: Regular gauge (pegs ½" from center to center) double sided. knitting board with at least 16 pegs. The 28" Regular Gauge Authentic Knitting. Board (standard (1/2") spacer setting) was used in the sample. Yarn: 75 yards each of two different colors of 100% cotton worsted.

Nearly all pot holders I've had, or seen, or made, have binding on all edges. Including this potholder tutorial I showed you last time. All doable, and nothing to be scared of. But today I'm showing you one that is even easier, and quicker to make - an easy potholder without binding. (And, just to mention, this cute quilted mug rug has no binding either!)

Twist the hook so it lies flat, and pull gently back toward the right side of the loom. When you get part way across, slip the free end of the loop over the first peg on the left side of the loom to secure it. Continue pulling and slip the other end of the loop over the corresponding peg on the right. Remove the weaving hook.

Log Cabin Weave Potholder in Pink Purple and Turquoise Etsy Pot
Baste stitch 1/8" along the outer perimeter. Position one of the assembled straps face up on the front side of the potholder body so the strap is centered 3" from the top and bottom curves of the potholder body. Baste the strap into place along each of the strap's short sides. Cut a 26″ section of bias tape.
