OPI and Essie are both amazing brands and deciding between the two brands is almost heartbreaking. But if I had to choose, I would choose OPI. OPI has such a wonderful color palette for its nail polishes that can be used in nail arts. The coating application is smooth and almost flawless. In my opinion, OPI is worth the extra 50 cents.

OPI! I like it much better than Essie and think that even China Glaze is better than Essie. OPI is expensive, but it lasts a long time, doesn't get gummy on the bottle and paints on evenly. The colors' names are also fun and the brushes are nice and wide.

First coat is patchy. Second coat and both still patchy. Third coat and the Essie is a solid colour whereas OPI is still patchy. Fourth coat of OPI and still slightly patchy. Fifth coat of OPI is still slightly patchy but I left it. Used the Barry M Wet Set Quick Dry Topcoat on all of the nails and also my favourite cuticle oil which is Ciaté.
